Nothing Compares

Last night, on St. Patty's Day my friend Jimmy had a bonfire/cook out at his super sweet house. He live right on the Gallatin River in the 2 story log cabin that was just redone. This place is awesome. I wanted to move in right then. It was nice to do something different, even if it was just sitting around a fire talking and taking photos. There's nothing like that and the sound of the roaring river to make you happy.

Today I saw something that I had not seen since October. My driveway. The snow and ice had melted enough in some places that the driveway could be seen. I guess spring is on its way for sure.

I finally got back out on the slopes Wednesday after being out of commision from where I fell for over 3 weeks! I did get back on with a new accesory, a helmut. So now maybe the next time I fall there wont be a concusion. The day was so beautiful, I couldnt help but snap a few photos. This is taken from Andesite Mountain, which is beside of Lone Mt.. Big Sky Resort goes all the way over to here. I thought the peak looked really nice from this angle. You can get a nice look at some of the runs from here.

This is one of the ski runs at Big Sky. I took it to show how deserted some of the runs are. You literally have them to yourself. I think that I stood here for at least 5 mins till someone finally came down the run. This is one of the easier runs, called Deep South, but its kinda one the southside of the mountian, not really hard to get to or anything, but for some reason people avoid it. I love going over here cause its so nice to not have to worry about skiing into anyone!

Last Sunday I had a couple of days off and decided to head over to Billings, MT, the biggest in the state with 100,000 people, just to check it out. There wasnt a who lot going on over there, but there was a Red Lobster, which I happen to like, so I got some food there, and just watched a movie that night and drove around the city the next day. It was an ok town. The coolest part was the lady at the hotel hooked me up. I got a super cheap rate and she gave me this really nice suite. It was a lot of fun. This picture here is from the way back. This is the Beartooth Mt. Range. They are, if I am not mistaken, the first range of the Rockies that you can see coming this way in MT.
