Off to the Carribean!

So tomorrows the day. I'll heading out to the DR at 5 pm. It should be great, especially since it just snowed 7 ins here and is still snowing. The sun and warmth will be much enjoyed!

A Milestone Day

Today was a great day for me. I skied down my first Black Diamond out here. I actually went down 2. The first was actually really easy, not very differnt from the other stuff I'd been skiing. But the 2nd one was a killer. A friend of mine from work saw me and asked if I wanted to do a run together. I said sure and we were trying to decide where we wanted to ski, when I said Id been wanting to ski off the Challenger lift, which is all blacks, but hadnt yet. The fellow was so nice that he went with me and waited patiently as I tried to ski down this powder laden steep cliff. I of course fell a few times, but made it down, and had fun doing it. Now Im ready to go back and see what I can do a second time around.

The pictures below are from a quick trip I took up to Banff, Alberta, Canada. I was only there a few days, but wow was it worth it. The whole area is so beautiful. These mountains there are just shear rocks. IT was so so. I went skiing one day at Lake Louise Ski Resort. It was fun, but not as good as here I didnt think.

What a beautiful sight to leave behind.

It was pretty cold that day. I had to bundle up!

This is the actual Lake Lousie. It was completely frozen over. And back there in between the two mountains is a glacier.

Here's a closer look at the glacier that is behind Lake Lousie.

Here I am on frozen Lake Louise.
