This is Jenny Lake, in the Tetons Nat'l Park. The water here was so clear, and some what warm.

Look how clear this water is. I think it was probably at least 5 feet deep and you can see straight to the bottom.

Grand Tetons National Park.

I don't think that you all need an explanation for this pic.

Yellowstone Lake.

Me, Rachel, Ania, and Elizabeth at the lower falls in Yellowstone.

This is the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone. Definatly not as beautiful as the real grand canyon, but still pretty and worth a mention on the blog.

This is a moose that we saw in Yellowstone, as I was taking this photo the moose was charging at 2 men who had gotten a little 2 close. They got out of the way safely though, but it could definatly been a dangerous thing. Moose are one of the most dangerous animals.

This is by far my favorite photo so far.

This is beehive basin. About a 4 mile hike just behind the ranch. It was so beautiful. There were all these open meadows around, and a forest of dead trees. And then this. Yes, that is snow that you can see there.

This is a photo taken from about half way up or hike to beehive basin.

I just thought that this was a good photo.

About 2 weeks ago or so, me and 3 people that I work with went on a spur of the moment camping trip. We went about 30 mins away from the ranch to a place called Taylor Fork. This picture was taken from the spot where we camped. Beautiful isn't it? And the best part is that there arent any designated camping spots, this isnt a camp ground, it was just park the car and pitch a tent.

Another view from the Taylor Fork.

Gunnar, Alysa, Scott, and Me.

Shawn and Gunnar, 2 of the guys that I work with here at the ranch.

Eat your heart out boys. Here are me and 3 of my roommates right before we took on the Gallatin River and all the fish in it. This was the day that I finally hooked a fish. Just one.

This is Lone Peak, the top of Lone Mountain. This is my view everyday.

Not to fear faithful blog readers, I havn't abandonded the blog just yet. It has been hard getting to a computer in order to write for the past month, but luckily I was able to purchase a new computer so now I should be able to keep you all better updated on whats happening here in MT. First thing I know you will be excited about it that I am going to be getting some photos on here! Its just hard to pick which ones. So I will probably start hosting them online somewhere, but that will happen later. So, happy viewing!

Waiting for the 4th of July Fireworks here in Big Sky. We have clockwise from front: Shawn, works in the fly shop and kitchen(makes an awesome ranch dressing); Rachel, my roommate and kids program; Eliot, also a server; Elizabeth, another roomie who also works in the kitchen; Woo Jay, a chef; and Karolina who is here from Poland and is a housekeeper.

Playing in snow on June 8th. It snowed 7 ins.!

Snow capped Rocky Mts.

The last "welcome to" state sign. It was a welcomed sight for sure.

Camp On

I have had my first camping experience here in Montana and it was cold. Monday night, on a whim, some of us decided that we should go camping. It was already about 7 pm, but here the sun doesnt go down till 10ish, so we had plenty of time, but we had to wait till some of our friends get back from a hiking trip cause we figured that they would like to go, so about 7-8 of us get ready to go, and 4 of them go over to this party that one of our friends is having at this park, the rest of us are still getting some stuff together and what not, so by the time we get over to the park to pick tem up, 4 of them had decided not to go, so it ended up being just 4 of us, which was really fun actually. By the time we got to the camping site and set up the tents it was almost midnight. But we made a fire anyways and roasted some marshmellows and talked, played some cards, and called it a night. Then today me and 3 of my roomies went on a hike to Beehive Basin, a pretty easy 6 mile hike, which was beautiful. Probably one of the nicest hikes/places that I have been so far. As soon as I get my photos uploaded I will post some on here. Right now there it is nopt easy to do, but I bought a computer yesterday so when I get that it should be a lot easier to blog and post pics. Also, tomorrow I am starting a 2nd job and this photo place. I really am not sure what I will be doing, but I know working in the lab. I am sure that most of the stuff they do is digital, so there will be no developing, so really I am not sure what I will do. Either way it should be fun. Extra money is always good too.

A Quick Post

Sorry that I am slacking again in the posting. This week I dont think I went to bed before 4 am except for last night when I went to bed at 8:30 pm. Its ok though, we have been having fun. Playing card and going out. But I am ready to catch up on some sleep though. I am afraid that might not happen to soon though. I think tonight we are going to go out to hear some band playing. But I am off tomorrow moring so it all works out and tomorrow it pancake Sunday. Every Sunday we are having pancakes. Tomorrow is chocolate chip pancakes. Don't you wish you lived here in Big Sky. :-)
It's been hard finding time to write a post this week, tracking down a computer that you can use it the first step then finding time to use it is next. I'll try to do better though. Have a good weekend!

Summer where did you go? After a few nice days of sun and warmth, we have been taken hostage by dark clouds and cold winds. I thought there for a few days that summer had arrived for good. I guess I was wrong. It is July for goodness sakes. I have to warn you all, DO NOT watch the movie, "The Longest Yard." It is so bad. On Wed. night a few of us went up to Bozeman to see a movie, that was the one we picked. Half way through I was thinking of asking anyone else if they wanted to leave. It's just not a good movie. Save yourselves from the torment of watching it. One of the guys that went with us is a friend of Ian's (the head chef here) and he is from New Zealand. He's a pretty cool guy. He owns a lodge back in NZ where he takes guest fly fishing. They are closed in the winter (NZ winter) so he comes over here to work and do some guiding. What a fun life. 6 months here, 6 months there.
This week at the ranch has been so sloooow. With only around 40 guests we haven't even been close to busy. I thought lunch today would drag on forever. But I suppose I should enjoy it now cause after this week it's busy for awhile.
Soon I will get around to putting up some photos. With my computer dying its not so easy. I am going to have to find some one to let me use theirs to upload them. My friend Scott, that I work with here, has a really cool camera that he's let me borrow for a few days. It's a digital Cannon Rebel. So I am trying to get some fun shots with that. Maybe on Sunday I could take some time to do all that picture stuff. Oh, and Scott too, is a writer and he is pretty good. Maybe if I can get his permission I'll stick one of his stories on here for you all to read.
